Analysis BBC news home page

BBC news has two different version like UK and international version but here we mention only international version which published on Monday, 27 October 2008 at 12:46 GMT.

What we see in the home page that are

Lead Story: “Share Market fall down in Europe”

Second Lead: “US President Election”

The Headline adjectives were current issues/ crisis, reality in present time, facts and figures etc. The facts and figures which used on it that gives an idea about whats going on right now in the world.

The image what used here, all are very simple, small and relevant to news and graphics also good. Image and text ratio is only around 30:70 percent, all the image they publish for enriched the news,

Sometimes picture is neccessary for clarification and it helps the readers to keep on it and if there is a photo story/slide show then it will be more good.

Color which they use for grapics that is pretty good and colorful but not too many color, graphics has very simple and professional look.

As we found that the BBC news international version they said but most of the stories are reflected from UK and US story. There is no any image in BBC story which is unnecessary image and that is their philosophy to being committed with their readers and viewers.

This is a good post. You have made a good point that although it is the "international" version it still reflects the interests of UK and US readers only.
